Healthy Golfer

As a nation we rank very low in overall health. When our students come for lessons and direction to learn the game, we have witnessed, on numerous occasions, the overall ill health they bring with them. How can someone with very poor stamina expect to last 30 to 45 minutes on the lesson tee in 95 degree weather? The overall physical condition of the student determines the overall potential success and results of the golf swing. As body, mind and spirit must be synergistically aligned for optimal health, so the golf swing depends on perfect alignment for maximum results. Donna Helms School of Golf recommends the following website for most of our students’ personal and nutritional needs: www.quantumsecret.com.

Donna's Tip #129

Get a grip As we witnessed on TV with the OJ Simpson trial, hand size varies depending on the person. The size of the grip on the shaft of the club will also vary. Determining factors of grip size may be if the club is for juniors, ladies, mens, oversized, built-up, jumbo, etc. If the diameter of the grip is too large or too small, it will affect the way the club head squares up at impact. A PGA teaching professional is trained to measure the proper fit of a students hand on the grip of the club. Make sure you are checked for this fitting.
